Here at Lian Chan Makeup And Hair Artistry, we make sure to give you the best service we can, but we need your help too, to achieve overall perfection on your big day! Here are a few reminders to make sure that you will look your best on your special day. So read on!
1. Drink Fresh Fruit and Veggie Juices
PLEASE DRINK FRESH FRUIT AND VEGGIE JUICES A COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT TO HAVE THAT NATURAL, GLOWING SKIN.
For example, juices rich in vitamin C like orange, grapefruit, or strawberry juice, can contribute to a healthy complexion due to their collagen-boosting properties.
Vegetable juices, such as those made from spinach, kale, or cucumber, are also very beneficial for skin health.
Remember to hydrate as well. Drinking plenty of water in addition to these juices ensures that your body and skin are adequately hydrated, which can add to that much-desired bridal glow.
2. Eat Heavy Breakfast Before Our Team Arrives
IT IS IMPORTANT TO EAT A SUBSTANTIAL BREAKFAST BEFORE OUR TEAM ARRIVES TO BEGIN PREPARING YOU FOR YOUR EVENT.
A nutritious breakfast will provide you with the essential fuel to begin your day, keeping your energy levels up and maintaining stamina throughout your special day preparation and celebration.
DO NOT SKIP breakfast, as it sets the stage for a successful, enjoyable, and stress-free day. With a filling breakfast, you can focus on looking and feeling your best, and our team can work seamlessly to make you shine.
3. No Skin Products Before Our Makeup Session
THERE IS NO NEED TO PUT ON ANY SKIN PRODUCTS BEFORE OUR MAKEUP SESSION. NO MORE FACIALS A WEEK BEFORE YOUR EVENT TO PREVENT ANY FLAKINESS OR DRYNESS.
There is no need to apply any skin products before our makeup session. Your skin should be clean, bare, and free from any oils, creams, or serums on your special day. This is because products applied prior to our makeup could potentially interfere with the adherence and finish of the makeup we use. Our team has a line of specialised products tailored for bridal makeup application that will ensure long-lasting, flawless results.
It’s advisable to schedule any facial appointments at least a week, or even two weeks, prior to your occasion. This permits enough time for your skin to balance itself and for any temporary side effects to appropriately subside.
4. Do Not Use Conditioner On The Day Of Your Event
WHEN PREPARING FOR YOUR SPECIAL DAY HAIRSTYLING, IT’S CRUCIAL TO NOTE THAT USING CONDITIONER ON THE DAY OF YOUR EVENT IS NOT RECOMMENDED.
Conditioners can create overly soft, silky hair, which may cause difficulty in maintaining certain hairstyles — especially intricate or voluminous bridal ‘dos — as it could lead to hair lacking in grip or volume.
By following this direction, you’re enabling our team to create beautiful, lasting hairstyles that will stay in place throughout your big day, complementing your overall bridal look perfectly.
Note: Please relay this important information to those who will have their hair and makeup done by us as well.
5. Do Your Brows and Waxing Needs More Than A Week Before The Event
HAVE YOUR BROWS THREADED OR DO ALL YOUR WAXING NEEDS MORE THAN A WEEK BEFORE THE EVENT. THREADING YOUR BROWS IS A LOT BETTER THAN SHAVING THEM.
We recommend that you have your eyebrows threaded or any waxing needs taken care of over a week before your special day. This is because both threading and waxing procedures can sensitize the skin, often resulting in temporary redness and tenderness. In some cases, they may cause small bumps or minor skin abrasions, especially in those with sensitive skin.
